Steve's Ottawa 'clown car' critiqued
a member of the GayNorfolk-net family of web sites
What first brought the reform party in general, and Peston Manning in particular, to my attention was a 1980s article that appeared in one of our national newspapers — probably the Globe & Mail — stating that Manning advocated that Canada's gay and lesbian citizens ought to be rounded up and shipped — in cattle cars, I suppose — to Canada's far north and detained indefinitely in work camps. Steve Harper worships at Preston Manning's feet, as it were. You're a pair of rite bastards. 'nough said.
Under the 'fixed election date' law passed by the Canadian federal Conservative government in 2006, Canada's next federal election will occur on October 19, 2015.
